I tried letterboxing some more today, but after three boxes and fighting the rain in Alpharetta all day, I decided to retire and cut some more stamps instead.
Albert wasn't home tonight so I rented The Girl Who Played with Fire and cut linoleum while I watched the movie. It was really good. I can't wait for the third one now.
So, I wanted to be first finder (FF) for a box that was planted yesterday really badly. It rained pretty hard while I was walking along the Chattahoochee Recreation/Nature Trail. It took me a good 30 minutes to find this box. I really wanted to give up, but my FF prize was way worth it. I got one of these tiny little iron-on patches:
I can't wait to iron it onto a tote bag and start using the bag for letterboxing!
Just to let you take a peek at one of the two stamps I worked diligently on...
First is the tchotchke that it was based on & the original sketch...
And then the completed stamp (bottom) and the image that it makes (top)
I am working on a series called "Kitschy Coo" that's based on the tchotchkes that I collect. (Exhibit A: the dog with a monocle)
Now I have to clean to get ready for the belated Dia de los Muertos party tomorrow.
See you then,
