I have done minimal amounts of crafts (mostly Christmas gifts), in between napping and feeling like I'm dying, and since they're surprises, I can't post about them. Sorry!
But, I want to write about inspiration.
I spent the past week going through my things, throwing some stuff out, deciding what I'm taking with me to Athens, etc. I must've gone through about 40 magazines, cover to cover, trying to find images for my inspiration book. I've been working on it a lot lately!
I found an interesting article in one of the first issues of JPG Magazine about a paper crane project. The artist, Liz Shuman, came up with the idea to make 1,000 paper cranes and send them out to people all over the world. Those people would photograph the crane, then send the picture back. Unfortunately, all links that I found on google are outdated for the project. So, instead, here are some more inspiring paper crane images (unrelated to the project) that was on JPG's website:
And, since I have nothing else to show for the week, here are some images pulled from the inspiration folder:
^designed by one of my favorite interior designers, Dorothy Draper
^Spanish singer Ximena Sariñana's cover of her first album
^an installation by artist Yayoi Kusama
I hope that you find something beautiful today,
