Spotlight: Alex Virji

Painter Alex Virji creates vignettes, alluding to the limited space seen through a keyhole. By painting in oval shapes, he is also connecting his work to the formats of the past. Don't be fooled by the images, however, as is work is on a small scale size-wise. He creates his work by using mixed media; using acidic colors and incorporating round shapes that make you think the subjects are people if you squint your eyes...
