Spotlight: Irina Werning

Irina Werning is a photographer who hails from Buenos Ares, Argentina. Irina takes images from her subjects' childhoods and recreates them as similarly as possible, only the subjects are much older. These images are so creative and inspirational that I had to share them. It makes me want to go through photos from my childhood and do my own!

If you were going to remake one of your childhood photos, which one would you choose and why? How difficult would it be to stage? Would you be able to use the same space in the original photo or can you think of a place to replicate it? Would you need to cut your hair? Rosy your cheeks?

You can learn more about Irina at her website.

  1. Wow! I love this...the photographer stays so true to the original photograph in every aspect

  2. How funny! My sister and I just had some professional photos done with her newborn son/my nephew and just for kicks, we "redid" the one portrait our parents had done of us as kids. The photographer sent me this link. What a kick!

  3. what a great idea....
