Spotlight: Eugene Von Bruenchenhein

Parents- be warned! This post contains images that some may deem inappropriate for young children.

Eugene Von Bruenchenhein was a baker... and an artist. He loved his wife, Marie. Sometimes he fashioned paintbrushes from her hair. Almost obsessively, he took a beautiful series of nude photographs of her. This was one of his favorite things to do.

When he wasn't photographing his wife, he would glue chicken bones or other found objects together. He also created fantasy paintings of magical places. His breath of work surpasses many artists of the current day, and sadly, his work wasn't revered until his death in 1983.
