Spotlight: Lyndie Dourthe

Get ready to swoon when you see today's feature! French artist Lyndie Dourthe creates some amazing artwork inspired by nature! According to Examiner.com, Dourthe draws a lot of inspiration from famous Parisian landmarks.

Some of the materials that I can identify are tissue paper, fabric, wire, paper, skulls, and glass cloches. The little mushroom terrariums are my favorite! Dourthe prints the mushrooms onto fabric, sews them up, and then stuffs them. Seeing a bunch of different ones together in a glass dome is just awesome! Her artwork reminds me of a cross between shabby chic and folk art, but it has its own effect altogether.
